A Neighborhood Therapy Clinic in Bloomfield Center
Our Bloomfield clinic is at 44 Park St., a short walk from the Bloomfield Town Green and Bloomfield High School on Broad Street. If you come by train, Bloomfield station on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line is about a third of a mile away, which makes this an easy stop for patients from Glen Ridge, Montclair and Belleville as well as Bloomfield itself.
Physical therapist Fernando Borromeo, occupational therapist Sheila Librinca and speech-language pathologist Priyadarsini Kumarasamy all see patients here, so physical, occupational and speech therapy happen under one roof. That matters after a stroke, a joint replacement or a fall, when getting dressed, walking safely and communicating clearly are all part of the same recovery.
The Bloomfield team treats back and neck pain, sports and work injuries, and post-surgical knees, hips and shoulders. The clinic also offers Holsman's HolStep® and No Fall Protocol® balance programs, shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon pain, KinesIQ balance training and functional capacity evaluations for return-to-work cases. Holsman has been helping northern New Jersey patients move better since 2004.

Questions About Our Bloomfield Clinic
What insurance does the Bloomfield clinic accept?
Yes. Our Bloomfield clinic accepts Medicare Part B, most private and PPO plans (including Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and Humana), workers' compensation including federal FECA claims, auto accident (no-fault/PIP) claims, and VA Community Care. Call 973-685-2335 and we will verify your benefits for free before your first visit.
Do I need a referral for physical therapy in Bloomfield?
Not in most cases. New Jersey's direct access law lets you start physical therapy without a prescription, but some insurance plans still require a referral or prescription to pay for it, so we check your plan before your first visit. With Medicare you can start without a referral, but your physician must certify your plan of care, and we coordinate that with your doctor.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, any prescription or referral you have, and a list of your medications. Imaging reports or surgical notes help too. Wear clothes you can move in. Your therapist starts with a full evaluation of your history, strength, mobility and goals, builds your treatment plan with you, and most patients begin treatment that same day.
What are the Bloomfield clinic's hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Same-week appointments are available; call 973-685-2335.
Can I get to the Bloomfield clinic by train?
Yes. Bloomfield station on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line is about a third of a mile from 44 Park St. If you are driving, call the front desk and we will tell you the easiest place to park around Park Street.
